House Buyers Pennsylvania: The Federal Government has come out with a program to help some homeowners stay in their homes, even though they are having a difficult time paying their mortgage payments. The idea is that the loans can be modified so that the monthly payments end up being lower than they are now. This may help many people who could continue to pay their mortgages if only the payments weren’t so high.

The idea is sound, but the qualification process can be flawed. The biggest drawback to this program is that you will have no idea whether you are actually going to receive the modified loan until the last possible minute. There is no indication given to applicants until the whole process has been through all of the lengthy steps. The decision will then, and only then, be made.
